Packet Pickup

Packet pickup on Friday, Feb. 27, will be from 2:00 – 7:00 p.m. CST in the parking lot behind St. Michael’s Episcopal Church at 640 N. Washington Ave. The parking lot is off 7th Street; there will be signs and people to assist you. If at all possible, please pick up your bags on Friday!

Packet pickup on Saturday, Feb. 28, will be at the park from 7:00 – 8:00 a.m. CST for the marathon and half marathon runners and from 8:00 – 9:00 a.m. CST for 5K and 10K runners.

Four Races

Full Marathon

13.1 miles of running on the back roads alongside the Blackburn Fork State Scenic River of Jackson County, TN. You will experience the beautiful countryside while on this loop course. The half has an extra addition in the way of a kayak bridge to get across the Blackburn Fork River.

Half Marathon

26.2 mile tour of rural Jackson County, TN. The route will take you on back roads that run alongside the Blackburn Fork State Scenic River. The route is a loop, which will allow you to enjoy numerous picturesque country back drops. This course is filled with rolling hills, a couple tough climbs, and a beautiful countryside sprinkled with barns.

10K Run

6.2 miles on the back roads of Jackson County, TN. You will enjoy the picturesque countryside on our out and back course. This out and back route will give you a taste of the beautiful views this countryside has to offer.

5K Run

3.1 miles as we take a quick run on the back roads of Jackson County, TN. This out and back route will give you a taste of the beautiful views this countryside has to offer.

Race Details

A marathon/fundraiser held by the Friends of Cummins Falls State Park in scenic Jackson County Tennessee. There are four certified routes: a full marathon, a half marathon, a 5K, and a 10K! The runs are along the beautiful Blackburn Fork State Scenic River. Funds raised will go to purchase land to help protect Cummins Falls. Registration is open now. Mark your calendar and come and join us. This will be an event for all with environmental education programs, music throughout the day, food, and fun. Even if you are not running, come by and enjoy the park.

Timed Races

This race is a chip-timed race. All runners receive a race t-shirt. Finisher medals are awarded to the marathon and half marathon finishers. Music is allowed.

There are aid stations approximately every 2 – 3 miles on the route.

Awards

Finisher medals are awarded to the marathon and half marathon finishers.

Awards for all 4 races (marathon, half marathon, 10K, and 5K) are given for:

1st, 2nd, and 3rd places for male and female overall.
1st, 2nd and 3rd places for male and female for each age group with 10 year age brackets.
Masters Male and Female Awards (40 and up)
Grand Masters Male and Female Awards (50 and up)
